Note on Safeguarding & PSEA:
Interns must have a basic understanding of Safeguarding and PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse). It is essential to follow Aparajeyo–Bangladesh’s safeguarding and PSEA policies at all times while participating in fieldwork, research, or office activities. The Internship Program is designed to provide students with practical exposure to field-based social development work and research-oriented learning within a human rights–based organization. Interns will work under the guidance of experienced professionals and contribute to ongoing programs of Aparajeyo–Bangladesh. Upon successful completion of the internship, interns will receive a Certificate of Internship as recognition of their participation and learning.
Duration of Internship: 3 Months & 6 Months
Responsibilities:
Participate in fieldwork activities related to child protection, youth development, women’s empowerment, and community engagement
Support data collection, surveys, interviews, and community-level assessments
Assist in research, documentation, and report writing for program and academic purposes
Observe and support implementation of social development and human rights–based programs
Maintain field notes, case studies, and activity records as required
Assist in organizing community meetings, workshops, and awareness sessions
Coordinate with program staff during field visits and office-based activities
Follow organizational Safeguarding, PSEA, and ethical guidelines at all times
Use basic digital tools for documentation, data entry, and communication
Perform any other learning-oriented tasks assigned by the supervisor relevant to the internship objectives
Context:
This internship is non-paid and purely learning- and experience-based
Interns will not receive TA/DA or any other financial benefits
The program aims to strengthen interns’ understanding of social issues, research methods, and field realities
The internship will support interns interested in future academic research, including MPhil studies
Job Summary:
Aparajeyo–Bangladesh is offering a non-paid Internship Program for Post-graduate or Master’s level students to gain practical fieldwork experience and research exposure within a human rights–based, non-profit organization. The internship aims to enhance interns’ understanding of social development issues, strengthen research and documentation skills, and support future academic and MPhil-level PhD-related research interests. Interns will work closely with program teams in both field and office settings under professional supervision.
