Responsibilities & Context:

The Hotel Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall daily operations of the hotel to ensure smooth functioning, high guest satisfaction, and profitability. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to coordinate across departments such as front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance.

The manager acts as a bridge between senior management and operational staff, ensuring service standards are consistently maintained and improved in line with business goals.

Operational Management

  • Manage and supervise all day-to-day hotel operations

  • Ensure efficient coordination among departments

  • Maintain service quality standards and operational procedures

    Guest Service Excellence

  • Ensure exceptional guest experience and satisfaction

  • Address and resolve guest complaints promptly

  • Monitor online reviews and feedback for continuous improvement

    Team Leadership & Human Resource Management

    Recruit, train, and supervise hotel staff

    Develop work schedules and manage duty rosters

    Conduct performance evaluations and staff development programs
    Financial & Budget Control

    Prepare budgets and monitor operational costs

    Analyze financial performance reports

    Implement cost-control measures and revenue optimization strategies.

    Departmental Oversight

    Supervise front office operations (check-in/check-out)

    Ensure housekeeping standards and cleanliness

    Oversee food & beverage service quality and hygiene

    Maintenance & Facility Management

    Ensure all hotel facilities are well-maintained

    Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance

    Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations

    Sales & Business Development Support

    Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to increase occupancy.

    Support promotional campaigns and corporate partnerships

    Monitor market trends and competitor activities.

    Compliance & Policy Implementation

    Ensure adherence to company policies and legal regulations

    Maintain operational licenses and safety standards

    Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
