Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Manage and lead the technical team, including pattern makers, garment technologists, and quality control inspectors.
∎ Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for garment production, quality control, and technical processes.
∎ Collaborate with design, production, and sourcing teams to develop product specifications and technical packs.
∎ Oversee the development and approval of garment patterns, prototypes, and samples.
∎ Conduct regular fit sessions and provide feedback on garment fit, construction, and quality.
∎ Evaluate fabric and trim samples for performance, durability, and compliance with quality standards.
∎ Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, mills, and manufacturers to ensure quality materials and production processes.
∎ Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues and improve production efficiency.
∎ Stay updated on industry trends, developments, and innovations in garment construction, materials, and technology.
∎ Provide technical expertise and support to resolve production challenges and optimize garment manufacturing processes.
∎ Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to product safety and quality.
∎ Train and mentor technical team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in garment construction and quality assurance.
∎ Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve company goals.
