Job Responsibilities:
∎ To arrange NPL Management Committee Meeting on monthly basis.
∎ To negotiate with the NPL/problematic customers of the Bank towards settlement of the accounts.
∎ To negotiate with the NPL/problematic customers of the Bank towards settlement of the accounts.
∎ To prepare and place different types of memo before the Board and EC of the Bank for decision and approval for rescheduling/ regularization/ settlement of the accounts.
∎ Launching Campaign aiming to recover substantial amount from the classified loans once in a year.
∎ To arrange zone-wise meeting among the Head of Branches to increase awareness for management of NPL and problematic accounts.
∎ To follow-up the respective Division to arrest newly classification.
∎ To determine of the action plan and recovery strategy to maximize the recovery against NPLs by way of meetings/negotiation with the customers.
∎ To take initiative and expedite settlements of all classified loans & accounts.
∎ To recover non-performing loan accounts by way of settlement/rescheduling/extension of validity/waiver with the approval of the competent authority of the Bank.
∎ To take necessary steps for initiation of proper legal action in time, so that Bank's claim is not barred by limitation.
∎ To maintain correspondence with Bangladesh Bank and other regulatory authorities.
∎ To take initiative for writing-off different Bad/Loss accounts against which legal action have already been taken and prospect of recovery are remote.
∎ To assist the Finance & Accounts Division (FAD) to make adequate/sufficient provision against Classified and Unclassified loans of the Bank in compliance with the guidelines of Bangladesh Bank.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 55 years
∎ Masters in any discipline preferably with commerce background.
∎ 12 years banking experience out of which 5 years in Recovery Management.
∎ Should have good knowledge in all areas of banking operations.
∎ Good understanding of different circulars, guidelines and instructions circulated by Bangladesh Bank from time to time.
∎ Knowledge on Acts and Laws related to banking business.
∎ Good analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
∎ Computer Knowledge is a must.
∎ Good communication skill.
