Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in legal affairs in Banks, Financial Institution, Law Firm or Corporate organization focusing Court operations.
Experience in working at Legal/Law Division in the Banking sector will be treated as an advantage.
Enrolled as Advocate in Bangladesh Bar Council will be preferred.
In depth Knowledge in Artha Rin Adalat Ain 2003, The Negotiable Instrument Act-1881, The Banking Companies Act 1991 and other relevant statutes relating to the Bank and Financial Institution.
Experience in managing legal matters in a large organization is highly desirable.
Proven track record in handling complex legal issues, including litigation and contract negotiations.
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Responsibilities & Context:
Filing cases as plaintiff/complainant before different Courts like Artha Rin Suits, NI Act Cases, Artha Jari Suits, Misc Cases and the other nature cases/suits filed by the Bank.
Attend/appear different Courts on regular basis to take proper steps through engaged panel lawyer of the Bank.
Take appropriate steps for execution of Warrant of Arrest issued against different defaulter borrower.
Taking steps for selling out the mortgaged property through auction under section 12 and the property obtained through court under section 33(5), 33(7) of Artha Rin Adalat Ain 2003.
Maintain liaison with our panel lawyers for taking proper steps before the Court on the fixed dates.
Vetting legal documents/instruments, agreements such as legal notice, various auction notice/plaint/written statement/complaint petition.
Monitor the Bank cases are pending before any Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh through external Legal Counsel/s to protect the interest of the Bank.
Maintain MIS/database of suit/case, Case Records and Case Diary (Artha Rin, NI Act, Others) filed by/against the Bank and report the Management as and when required.
