Responsibilities & Context:
Role Overview
Guardian Life Insurance Limited is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Products to lead the design, development, and management of a comprehensive life insurance product portfolio. The role will oversee products across Retail, Corporate, Bancassurance, Micro-insurance, and Alternate Distribution Channels, ensuring market competitiveness, profitability, regulatory compliance, and customer-centric innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product strategy and development across all life insurance business lines
- Drive new product development, enhancements, and rationalization based on market needs and performance
- Obtain product approval from the regulatory authorities.
- Design channel-specific products to support Agency, Corporate, Bancassurance, Digital, and Alternate channels
- Work closely with Actuarial, Distribution, Operations, IT, Finance, and Compliance teams to ensure a successful product launch and execution
- Ensure full regulatory compliance with the Insurance Act and IDRA guidelines
- Own and improve product profitability, persistency, and portfolio performance
- Introducing innovative, simplified, and digital-friendly products, particularly for Micro-insurance and overall inclusive insurance
- Monitor product performance using data and customer insights and recommend improvements
- Present product strategies and performance updates to the CEO.
