Post‑graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline from a recognized institution.·      

Professional certifications in credit/risk (e.g. CRM, CA, CFA, FRM or equivalent) are highly desirable.·      

Minimum 12 years of progressive banking experience with significant leadership exposure in Credit Administration, Credit Risk Management and/or Corporate/SME lending.



Responsibilities & Context:

Role purpose

The Head of CAD provides operational leadership of the Credit Administration function, ensuring strong risk/control culture, service excellence and alignment with the Bank’s risk appetite, E& S risk consideration and credit strategy.
The role owns end‑to‑end credit documentation, limit boarding and collateral perfection, minimizing operational and documentation risks while supporting business growth across Corporate, SME and Retail portfolios.


Key responsibilities

Strategy, governance & controls

·       Lead a large team

·       Lead CAD strategy, policies and SOPs to enforce robust credit lifecycle governance and alignment with CRM and Business.

·       Possess in-depth operational knowledge on products and processes both Assets & Liabilities of Retail, SME & Wholesale Banking, Credit Cards, Remittance, Cash Management, Custodial Services, Islamic banking and Electronic Fund Transfer

·       Centralize and optimize CAD and credit MIS/reporting, ensuring consistent standards and processes bank‑wide.

·       Ensure proper KYC due diligence and has the ability to review transaction from AML perspective at the same time be able review documentation process where necessary.

·       Implement and monitor control frameworks for documentation, limit management, disbursement and parameter setup in the core banking system.

Credit operations & compliance

·       Ensure complete, accurate and legally enforceable loan/security documentation, lien marking and charge registration before disbursement and at review.

·       Seamlessly ensure Pre as well as Post Disbursement activities (Prepayment, Foreclosure, Settlement, Conversion, Rate revision, Security release & Clearance) and also all activities related to Restructuring and Rescheduling of Loans

·       Flawlessly ensure Mortgage & PoA activities (Creation, Redemption, Deed withdrawal, document verification, dealing with third party vendors etc.)

·       Oversee issuance of bank guarantees, security status certificates, e‑disbursement instructions and account closure, ensuring robust controls and turnaround time.

·       Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations, core risk guidelines and internal credit policies; drive closure of audit and regulatory findings relating to CAD.

Portfolio monitoring, classified accounts & MIS

·       Monitor exceptions, excesses, past dues and operational breaks, and coordinate timely remediation with Business, CRM and branches.

·       Support monitoring and provisioning of classified and watch‑list accounts in coordination with CRM and SAMD, including documentation of restructuring/rescheduling.

·       Lead centralized, accurate and timely regulatory and management reporting, including mapping of CL/GL and dashboards on disbursement, documentation and classified loans.

People leadership & stakeholder management

·       Ensure proper monitoring & control mechanism in regular operations. Coordinate & negotiate with stakeholders for establishing risk management framework. Identify automation opportunity and implement the same through technology assistance

·       Assess the requirement for designing of new/existing software & MIS

·       Provide leadership to CAD teams through clear goal‑setting, coaching, performance management and succession planning in line with HR policies.

·       Lead recruitment, development, appraisal and, when necessary, disciplinary and reward actions for CAD staff to build a high‑performing team.

·       Act as primary CAD contact for Business, CRM, Legal, ICC, IT, Operations, regulators and external auditors, ensuring collaborative problem‑solving and strong relationships.

Competencies & Behaviors

·       Advanced knowledge of credit administration, documentation, collateral management, regulatory and policy compliance and operational risk/control frameworks.

·       Strong proficiency in core banking systems and analytical tools for regulatory and management reporting and dashboards.

Strategic judgment, executive presence, integrity and a strong risk mindset, with the ability to build high‑performing teams and drive continuous improvement within CAD.
