Job Context:
∎ This position is for Bangladeshi nationals and IRC is looking for a Senior Officer for Adolescent Girls Program.
∎ This position is responsible for providing technical support to our partner organization in order to implement the program smoothly. In addition to that this position will lead and oversee the implementation of the Girl Shine program across 4-5 Women Friendly Spaces in refugee and/or host communities, including: assessing the needs of girls, selecting girls for the program, implementation of the Girl Shine life skills curriculum; building relationships with gatekeepers and caregivers and overseeing the implementation of the Girl Shine parent/caregiver engagement curriculum; and monitoring activities; and also will work closely with the WPE Girl Shine Manager, the other Snr Girl Shine Officers and program partner team to ensure the adolescent programming is adaptive and responsive in the event of any changes in context that affects program implementation as a result of, for example, new displacement or natural disaster.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Girl Shine set up and implementation:
∎ Responsible for, with the other Girl Shine Snr Officers and WPE Girl Shine Manager, leading on:
∎ Conducting a comprehensive assessment on well-being and safety concerns for adolescent girls and strengths based mechanisms to adapt and contextualize the Girl Shine package;
∎ othe adaptation and contextualization process of the Girl Shine life skills and parent/caregiver curricula;
∎ Participating in, and co-facilitation of, the Girl Shine training for partner staff (facilitators, outreach team and managers);
∎ mobilizing and co-facilitating training for partner organizations' community engagement teams of volunteers on outreach to engage the most vulnerable girls and gain family acceptance and support for participation;
∎ Generating ongoing learning, through girl-friendly monitoring and evaluation approaches, regarding the change achieved by girls and parents/caregivers through the Girl Shine activities;
∎ Work closely with the facilitators and the IRC midwife placed at each WFS to build and strengthen the safe and confidential internal referrals between the girls program and the SRH services offered; and support the team to provide age-appropriate SRH sessions to adolescent girls visiting the WFS;
∎ Provide girls focused technical support to the WFS's community outreach teams to ensure ongoing engagement of adolescent girls for inclusion in the Girls Shine activities, as well as to improve girl's access to the other services offered in the WFS (such as GBV case management and SRH services);
∎ Take the lead on supply chain, finance and logistics tasks in relation to the operations of the Women & Girls Support Officers including identifying and responding to procurement needs;
∎ Technical Quality and Support:
∎ Support the team to ensure Girl Shine programming adheres to a women-, girl- and survivor-centered and feminist approach and that IRC and partner staff and volunteers are supported to build and strengthen their practice in this area;
∎ Responsible for capacity building of up to 10 Girl Shine facilitators and community engagement teams on the implementation of Girl Shine activities through on the job mentoring and training;
∎ Through observation and regular evaluations, oversee and ensure the quality of activities implemented by the facilitators and share relevant information during staff meetings and supervision sessions with IRC WPE Girl Shine Manager and Manager, working with them to adjust and strengthen programming;
∎ Work closely with the partner organisations WFS teams to ensure GBV responses are reflective of the needs of girls' in particular early marriage and sexual violence;
∎ Where required by the partner organisation, provide technical support to the case workers on areas that might include caring for child survivors and case management for adolescent girls;
∎ Ensure regular communication and close collaboration with the WPE Girl Shine Manager.
∎ Monitoring and Reporting:
∎ Responsible for using Girl Shine girl-friendly data collection methods to collecting data and preparing reports on Girl Shine activities;
∎ Identify key trends emerging in the field related to adolescent girls and communicate these regularly to the WPE Girl Shine Manager to address key issues emerging and respond accordingly with the partner;
∎ Conduct regular field supportive monitoring visits and technical support to the Girl Shine facilitators to gather ongoing feedback from participants, analyse feedback, and respond accordingly;
∎ Input into high-quality IRC and donor reports on activities, indicators and achievements of Girl Shine.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 26 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 2-3 years of experience needed in humanitarian field will get preference;
∎ Education in women' studies, social work, social sciences, human rights, other similar field or related experience;
∎ Experience in facilitation, awareness or life-skills sessions for women and girls in a humanitarian context- essential;
∎ Clear and genuine willingness to work and learn quickly and be committed to developing professionally in the field of GBV and WPE, in particular - adolescent girls' protection and empowerment - essential;
∎ Demonstrated commitment to girl's empowerment and protection through current/ previous volunteer or paid work in girls clubs or other relevant experience - an added advantage;
∎ Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure well;
∎ Excellent listening and observation skills, including ability to create trust, support, respect and interact with survivors of all ages, background and diversity;
∎ Comfortable speaking about sensitive topics in an honest, professional, and thoughtful manner;
∎ Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect at all times is essential;
∎ Ability to keep records and write simple and basic reports of activities - an added advantage;
∎ Basic computer skills and familiarity with Word/Excel

Salary: Tk. 60000 - 62000 (Monthly)
