A renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in the country is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly capable professional for the position of General Manager-Technical (Sewing) for the Garments Divisions located at Gazipur.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic direction and oversight to all technical aspects of the apparel manufacturing process, from product development to final production.
Lead the technical team in translating design concepts into production-ready garments, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and alignment with market demands.
Develop and implement advanced technical solutions to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce production costs, and enhance product quality.
Ensure adherence to high-quality standards through rigorous technical evaluations, fabric and material testing, and process validations.
Drive the adoption of innovative technologies in garment production, such as automation, AI, and sustainable manufacturing practices, to remain competitive in the market.
Provide expert guidance in resolving technical challenges during the production process, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining production schedules.
Work closely with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of technical requirements with aesthetic and functional aspects of the garments.
Collaborate with raw material suppliers and machinery vendors to source the best materials and equipment, ensuring compatibility with technical requirements and cost efficiency.
Develop and implement comprehensive SOPs for technical operations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all production units.
Incorporate eco-friendly and sustainable practices into technical processes to align with global standards and company goals.
Build a highly skilled technical team through recruitment, training, and development programs, fostering innovation and technical expertise.
Oversee the technical department`s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and alignment with organizational financial goals.
Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and certifications related to technical and production processes, maintaining the company`s reputation and market standing.
Spearhead initiatives to automate workflows, enhance productivity, and minimize human errors in technical operations.
Collaborate with clients to understand their technical needs, providing customized solutions to meet specific product requirements and ensure satisfaction.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing technical performance metrics, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing effective solutions.
Prepare and present detailed reports on technical operations, including performance metrics, cost analysis, and project updates, to senior management.
