Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operations Management: The GM Spinning is responsible for the overall operations of the spinning department. This includes overseeing the production process, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining quality standards. They monitor production schedules, machine maintenance, and ensure that all equipment is functioning optimally.
∎ Fiber Knowledge: Understanding of different types of fibers used in spinning (cotton, synthetic, blends) and their properties, as well as how these properties influence spinning performance and yarn quality.
∎ Resource Management: Managing and allocating resources such as labor, raw materials, and machinery to maximize production efficiency. This involves workforce planning, ensuring proper staffing levels, and optimizing the use of machinery and equipment.
∎ Quality Control: Ensuring the yarn produced meets the required quality standards. This involves implementing quality control processes, conducting regular inspections, and addressing any issues related to yarn quality.
∎ Cost Management: Managing costs associated with production, labor, raw materials, and other resources. The GM Spinning works to optimize production processes and minimize wastage to improve overall cost efficiency.
∎ Team Leadership: Providing leadership and direction to the spinning department's workforce. This includes supervising staff, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
∎ Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are adhered to within the spinning department. This involves implementing safety measures, conducting safety training, and maintaining a safe work environment.
∎ Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency in the spinning department.
∎ Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments such as procurement, maintenance, and quality control to ensure seamless coordination and communication within the organization.
∎ Data Analysis: Analyzing production data and performance metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Using data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
∎ Problem Solving: Addressing any operational issues or challenges that arise within the spinning department. This could include troubleshooting equipment problems, resolving conflicts among staff, and finding solutions to production disruptions.
∎ Strategic Planning: Developing and executing strategies to achieve long-term goals for the spinning department. This could involve identifying market trends, exploring new technologies, and adapting to changing industry dynamics.
∎ Budgeting: Participating in budget planning and financial management for the spinning department. Monitoring expenses, forecasting costs, and ensuring that the department operates within budgetary constraints.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The candidate must have at least 10 years' experience of working as a GM in any 100% export oriented Spinning Mill.
∎ The Applicant should have experience and good knowledge in Export Oriented Knit Cotton Yarn, Modal, Mélange, Viscose, Tensil, Linen, Slub, Compact yarn, Rotor and blended yarns.
∎ Experience in Plant layout Optimization, Machinery procurement & Installations, process Qualifications & Improvements, Zero defect Analysis, Cost Reduction projects.
∎ Candidate having relevant experience & excellent expertise & confidence only need to apply.
