A renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in the country is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly capable professional for the position of General Manager-Industrial Engineering for the Garments Division located in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:·
Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement techniques to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, high-quality production processes.
Oversee capacity planning to ensure that production capabilities align with demand forecasts and that the organization is prepared to meet production targets.
Collaborate with production, planning, and other departments to ensure that resources are allocated effectively.
Lead the implementation of continuous improvement programs, such as Kaizen, to enhance overall productivity and operational performance.
Drive initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times, minimizing downtime, and increasing throughput.
Use data-driven decision-making to track performance metrics and ensure continuous improvement across all areas of production.
Lead and manage the industrial engineering team, providing direction, training, and development to ensure high performance.
Set clear goals and objectives for the team and monitor progress to ensure that targets are met.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
Lead and oversee large-scale industrial engineering projects, from initial planning through to implementation and evaluation.
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired outcomes in terms of efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, maintenance, and supply chain, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Stay updated on the latest technologies and innovations in industrial engineering, automation, and manufacturing processes.
Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies that can enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that all production processes meet the required quality standards.
Ensure that industrial engineering initiatives comply with safety standards and regulations, and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality and safety issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor and control operational costs related to production, materials, and labor.
