Responsibilities & Context:

1. Overall Quality Management

  • Lead and manage the complete QA/QC operation of the knit composite factory.

  • Develop and implement quality policies, SOPs, systems, and procedures.

  • Ensure all products meet buyer quality standards and specifications.

  • Establish strong preventive quality systems rather than corrective systems.

  • Maintain buyer satisfaction through consistent product quality.

2. Fabric & Knitting Quality Control

  • Monitor yarn quality, GSM, shade, spirality, shrinkage, contamination, and knitting defects.

  • Ensure fabric inspections are conducted as per 4-Point System.

  • Coordinate with Knitting, Dyeing, and Lab teams for quality consistency.

  • Monitor fabric relaxation, fabric width, and process loss control.

  • Ensure all knitting and greige fabric quality records are maintained properly.

3. Dyeing & Finishing Quality Assurance

  • Monitor shade approval, lab dip approval, bulk shade consistency, and finishing quality.

  • Ensure proper control of shrinkage, color fastness, pilling, skewing, and hand feel.

  • Coordinate with Lab and Technical teams to reduce reprocess and shade variation.

  • Ensure all physical and chemical testing requirements are completed as per buyer standards.

4. Cutting Quality Control

  • Ensure fabric panel checking and cutting quality standards are maintained.

  • Control fabric shade segregation and bundle management.

  • Ensure marker accuracy and minimize cutting rejection.

  • Monitor cutting defects and implement corrective actions.

5. Sewing Quality Assurance

  • Ensure inline, end-line, and traffic light systems are properly implemented.

  • Monitor DHU%, RFT%, Alter%, Rejection%, and Repair trends.

  • Analyze sewing defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Conduct regular quality meetings with Production and Technical teams.

  • Ensure workmanship standards are maintained throughout sewing operations.

6. Finishing & Packing Quality

  • Ensure finishing appearance, measurement, ironing, folding, ticketing, assortment, and packing quality.

  • Ensure shipment audit pass rates meet buyer requirements.

  • Monitor carton quality and shipment accuracy.

  • Ensure final inspection pass rate is achieved before shipment.

7. Buyer Compliance & Audit Management

  • Handle buyer QA visits, technical audits, and quality inspections.

  • Ensure compliance with buyer manuals and quality protocols.

  • Coordinate with buyers regarding quality comments and corrective actions.

  • Prepare and maintain all QA-related documents and reports for audits.

8. Testing & Laboratory Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal and external laboratories (ITS, SGS, BV, TUV, UL, etc.).

  • Ensure all testing requirements are completed before shipment.

  • Monitor failed test reports and implement preventive action plans.

  • Ensure proper management of test samples and records.

9. Root Cause Analysis & CAPA

  • Lead RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for major quality issues.

  • Implement CAPA for recurring defects and buyer complaints.

  • Conduct regular quality review meetings with all departments.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

10. Team Management & Training

  • Lead and supervise QA Managers, QCs, Auditors, and Inspectors.

  • Develop training plans for quality teams and operators.

  • Ensure skill development and succession planning within QA department.

  • Evaluate team performance through KPIs.

11. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management.

  • Analyze DHU trends, defect analysis, rejection trends, and shipment performance.

  • Use ERP and digital systems for real-time quality monitoring.

  • Present quality performance to management and buyers.

12. Cost Control & Quality Improvement

  • Reduce rejection, alteration, rework, and process wastage.

  • Improve First Pass Yield (FPY) and Right First Time (RFT).

  • Minimize customer claims and shipment penalties.

  • Support productivity improvement through quality stabilization.
