Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in shipping, logistics, courier management, freight coordination, or supply chain operations.

• Proven experience handling international shipments from Asia to North America.

• Strong understanding of customs clearance, freight movement, shipping documents, courier booking processes, and import/export requirements.

• Hands-on experience with ShipStation or similar shipping platforms, DecoNetwork or similar systems, Monday.com or similar workflow tools, ERP systems, and courier shipping portals.

• Strong knowledge of shipping dimensions, weight management, packaging logic, and pricing optimization.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics reporting.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in custom apparel, sportswear, teamwear, or e-commerce fulfillment.

• Experience working with DHL, UPS, FedEx, Canpar, and international freight providers.

• Familiarity with DDP shipments and global courier operations.

• Knowledge of North American shipping standards, customer delivery expectations, and transit timelines.

• Prior experience improving shipping workflows and reducing logistics costs.

As we continue to expand our global sourcing and fulfillment operations, we are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and analytical Manager - Shipping - to independently oversee and optimize our international shipping operations.

Position Overview

The Manager - Shipping will be responsible for managing end-to-end shipping, courier coordination, freight operations, customs documentation, shipping systems, and logistics process improvement. This role requires strong hands-on experience with international shipments from Asia to North America, excellent vendor management capabilities, and the ability to make cost-effective, data-driven logistics decisions.

The successful candidate will work closely with sourcing, production, customer service, and operations teams while coordinating with global factories, freight partners, and courier companies to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-efficient delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping and Logistics Management

• Manage complete inbound and outbound shipping operations from China, Pakistan, Vietnam, and other sourcing countries.

• Oversee international freight, courier, and delivery coordination for shipments bound for North America.

• Prepare, review, and verify all required shipping documents, including packing lists, commercial invoices, shipping labels, customs documentation, and courier booking information.

• Monitor all active shipments and proactively resolve delays, customs holds, failed deliveries, and other exceptions.

• Ensure shipments comply with import/export regulations, customs procedures, and company shipping standards.

• Support DDP and international courier shipment workflows where required.

Courier, Freight Forwarder, and Vendor Coordination

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with courier companies, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.

• Coordinate with providers such as DHL, UPS, FedEx, Canpar, and similar carriers.

• Negotiate freight rates, courier pricing, delivery timelines, and service agreements to improve cost efficiency.

• Compare shipping methods and recommend the most practical, reliable, and cost-effective options.

• Track vendor performance, shipping turnaround times, and SLA compliance.

• Escalate and resolve service failures professionally and independently.

Shipping Systems and Platform Management

• Manage shipping and logistics workflows through ShipStation, DecoNetwork, Monday.com, ERP systems, courier platforms, and similar logistics applications.

• Configure and optimize shipping settings, including dimensions, weights, package rules, pricing strategies, shipping methods, and automation.

• Ensure accurate label generation and courier booking processes.

• Maintain smooth integration between order management platforms and shipping systems.

• Review marketplace and e-commerce platform connections through ShipStation or related tools.

• Maintain complete and accurate shipment records, dashboards, and reports.

Cost Control, Analysis, and Process Improvement

• Analyze shipping costs, transit times, carrier performance, and logistics trends.

• Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs while maintaining service quality.

• Improve shipping workflows, documentation processes, and internal coordination.

• Recommend automation improvements to reduce manual work and operational errors.

• Prepare analytical reports and operational recommendations for management.

• Support long-term shipping strategy and scalability as the business grows.

Internal Coordination and Communication

• Work closely with sourcing, production, customer service, and operations teams.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with global factories, vendors, couriers, and internal stakeholders.

• Manage shipping-related escalations, urgent delivery concerns, and exception cases.

• Provide regular updates on shipment status, delays, cost issues, and operational risks.

• Maintain strong written and verbal English communication in all business interactions.
