Responsibilities & Context:

• Develop creative and commercially viable knit garment designs based on buyer requirements, market trends, brand direction, and target price points.

• Research current fashion trends, colors, fabrics, prints, graphics, silhouettes, garment details, and competitor products relevant to international knitwear markets.

• Develop seasonal design concepts, mood boards, color stories, collection themes, and professional design presentations.

• Create new styles and modify existing designs in line with buyer requirements, market trends, brand aesthetics, and commercial objectives.

• Prepare detailed sketches, technical drawings, artwork, design specifications, and development details for sampling and production.

• Work closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Fabric, Production, and other relevant teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth development.

• Select suitable fabrics, trims, colors, washes, prints, embroidery, graphics, and other garment details considering design intent, quality, cost, and production feasibility.

• Develop and follow up samples, prototypes, and product developments from initial concept through revisions, buyer comments, and final approval.

• Ensure designs meet required standards for quality, fit, construction, workmanship, cost, manufacturability, and customer expectations.

• Coordinate with suppliers and production teams regarding fabric, trims, printing, embroidery, artwork, and other design-development requirements.

• Maintain strong awareness of international knitwear fashion trends, seasonal directions, market movements, and competitor products.

• Present new design concepts, seasonal collections, and development proposals to management and buyers when required.

• Ensure all designs are commercially viable, aligned with customer expectations, and achievable within approved target price points.

• Maintain proper records of design developments, artworks, samples, approvals, buyer comments, revisions, and final specifications.

• Perform any other relevant duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
