Responsibilities & Context:

• Prepare Material Requirement Planning (MRP) based on production plans and order projections and inventory levels.

• Ensure timely availability of Yarn, fabric, trims, packaging, and accessories.

• Monitor daily material requirements against production demand.

• Optimize inventory while minimizing excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.

• Monitor inventory turnover (ITOR), Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), and stock accuracy.

• Conduct regular inventory reconciliation and cycle counting.

• Coordinate with Merchandising, Planning, Knitting, Dyeing, Finishing, Cutting, Warehouse, and Commercial departments.

• Ensure uninterrupted material flow to meet production and shipment schedules.

• Resolve material shortages affecting production.

• Monitor supplier delivery performance.

• Develop and maintain material planning reports, KPIs, and management dashboards.

• Reduce inventory carrying cost, Improve material utilization, Control dead stock and material wastage.

• Identify material shortages and supply chain bottlenecks, & Develop contingency plans for critical materials.

• ERP/System data accuracy for material planning, inventory, and production requirements.

• Improve planning accuracy and warehouse efficiency.

• Standardize SOPs for material management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and supply chain best practices.

• Mentor and develop the Material Planning team to achieve departmental objectives.
