Job Context:
Majumder Products Ltd. is part of Majumder Group of Industries, an agro-industrial conglomerate in edible oil refining, agro-processing, animal feed and industrial manufacturing. We are looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee plant operations and lead ongoing civil, construction and expansion projects. Candidates with experience in an edible oil refinery or rice processing will be strongly preferred. Knowledge of finance and accounting will be an added advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage overall plant operations, administration and project activities

• Plan, supervise and monitor civil and construction work (factory buildings, sheds, warehouses, foundations, roads, drainage and similar) from design review to handover

• Review drawings, BOQs, estimates and contractor bills, and ensure quality, cost control and on-time completion

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers and government authorities.

• Oversee installation and commissioning of machinery in coordination with mechanical and electrical teams

• Ensure smooth production, maintenance and utility operations, preferably in refinery or rice processing units

• Work with the Accounts & Finance department to monitor plant and project expenses, cash flow and budget variances

• Review and verify financial reports, cost sheets and payment approvals for projects and operations

• Prepare budgets, project schedules and progress reports for top management

• Ensure workplace safety, statutory compliance and good housekeeping

• Lead, develop and evaluate department heads and staff

• Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
