Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Leading all departments like production, quality, maintenance, admin, store etc. for the whole factory.
∎ Establishing production and quality strategies, preparing and projecting standard production planning, and ensuring production and quality requirements are met.
∎ Physical presence on factory floor for majority of time is key priority for management.
∎ Identifying and solving any bottlenecks in production to continuously improve productivity.
∎ Be able to perform laydown and mixing planning for cotton. Using upcoming cotton supply to plan laydowns for multiple months. Will have to be able to achieve near 100% consumptions of all raw material consignments.
∎ Lead root cause analysis for quality complaints, and implement permanent solutions to prevent future occurrence.
∎ Visit customers for customer relations and quality complaints.
∎ Ensuring proper controls are established and maintained for efficient operations and quality production from all machinery such as blowroom, carding, breaker and finisher drawing, simplex, ring frame, autoconer, rotor, packaging etc.
∎ Assessing worker and staff performance, and taking appropriate actions to maintain the skill standards required to operate an export oriented spinning mill.
∎ Maintaining quantitative analysis of worker performance, and reporting to management regarding assessment and actions taken.
∎ Daily visits to all areas of the factory and interaction with all departments to ensure all factory rules and housekeeping standards are being maintained.
∎ Effectively and tactfully handling any emergency situations that may arise inside and outside of factory.
∎ Establishing and leading daily, weekly and monthly team meetings for better inter team communications, and to surface any problems and issues.
∎ Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to top management and ownership on key production, quality and maintenance metrics, including costing, efficiency, downtime, etc.
∎ Communicate with management and head office (Supply Chain, Finance, Accounts) regularly to obtain decisions and push for solutions needed for factory.
∎ Preparing and reviewing daily, weekly, monthly, half-yearly and annual MIS reports, and presentation to management to reflect factory performance.
∎ Monitoring and ensuring yarn, cotton, work-in-progress, wastage and other stock reports.
∎ Face and successfully complete various certification audits associated with export oriented spinning (GOTS, OCS, BSCI, Inditex, Tesco, etc.)
∎ Performing any other relevant jobs as assigned by top management.
∎ We are looking for a highly experienced, factory floor oriented professional in the spinning industry to lead plant operations for a fully export based spinning mill, producing 50+ tons of yarn per day.
∎ Minimum 20 years experience directly in spinning operations and quality is required.
∎ Minimum B.Sc. in Textile Engineering is required. Graduation from Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) is preferred.
∎ Previous full project erection experience is preferred.
∎ Strong English communication skills are required.
