Experience

Quality Control and Assurance - 50%
Assist Implement quality control protocols for rice fortification to ensure compliance with food safety and fortification standards at RFP, Bhasan Char.
Provide support and training to staff on food safety and quality control procedures.
Conduct routine in-process and finished product quality checks as per SOPs.
Assist in ensuring sampling, testing, and documentation of rice quality parameters (e.g., appearance, uniformity, moisture).
Verify compliance with WFP specifications, standards and project guidelines.
Assist in conducting daily monitoring of milling, fortification, and packaging processes to maintain consistent product quality.
Monitor the production process, ensuring correct blending of fortified kernels and uniformity in fortified rice.
Perform regular sampling and testing to verify micronutrient levels.
Address deviations from quality standards and implement corrective actions promptly.
Ensure compliance with national and international food safety regulations, including HACCP and ISO standards.
Collaborate with the Machine Operator, the Electric Engineer, the Plant Manager, the Retailers representative and the WFP representative to troubleshoot quality issues and drive process improvements.
Review and approve quality documentation, such as inspection records and certificates of analysis.
Assist investigations into quality-related complaints and oversee corrective actions.
Establish and maintain quality benchmarks and Key performance indicators for continuous monitoring and improvement.
Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with food safety inspections and certifications.
Perform risk assessments to identify potential quality threats and proactively mitigate them.
Assist in developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality control, ensuring they reflect the latest industry practices and regulations.
Coordinate with suppliers to verify raw materials that meet quality specifications.
Data Management and Reporting - 25%
Maintain accurate quality control records, checklists, logs, and test results.
Assist in preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for management and donors.
Assist during internal and external audits, inspections, and monitoring visits (WFP, government, third parties).
Maintain detailed logs of quality control checks, test results, Inspections and corrective actions.
Assist in developing a digital database for tracking quality metrics and fortification consistency.
Prepare regular quality control performance reports for submission to management and WFP.
Support the creation of dashboards and data visualisation tools to monitor trends.
Align quality control data with broader project reports, working closely with the monitoring team.
Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and final project reports focusing on quality assurance outcomes.
Ensure compliance with confidentiality standards when handling project data.
Assist in preparing information for donor reports, audits, and external evaluations.
Develop tools to validate the accuracy of quality data during the production process.
Participate in project review meetings to share insights and recommend improvements.
Training and Capacity Building - 15%
Assist in conducting training sessions on food safety, hygiene, and quality control protocols.
Assist in developing training materials to enhance staff knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide on-the-job guidance to machine operators, Assistant Quality Controller, ensuring adherence to quality control processes.
Build the capacity of local Rohingya volunteers through practical training on quality checks.
Assist in organising refresher training programs to keep staff updated on best practices.
Ensure quality control principles are integrated into project monitoring in collaboration with the M&E team.
Coordinate with WFP and stakeholders to align quality training with international standards.
Others - 10%
Maintain the stock book, inventory and other essential registers properly and timely in an effective manner
Support in the procurement of materials, like requisition, follow-up, etc.

Participate & be involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterisation, etc.) activities
