Job Responsibilities:
∎ Capacity to overseeing internal operating controls, processes and practices of the banks.
∎ Perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations- effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
∎ Excellent capacity to analyze risk, determine internal audit scope and develop Risk based Annual Internal Audit Plan and Program and evaluates accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc.
∎ Capacity to maintain correspondence & liaison with the branch official and the official of Head office's divisions.
∎ Capacity to lead the audit team with necessary guidance in line with the bank's policies procedures, International Standards on Banks Practices, Regulatory compliances etc.
∎ Review Draft audit report on audit of Credit, Branch Operations, Trade Finance Operations and Head Office Units/Divisions etc submitted by the Audit team for finalization and onward submission to the respective authority.
∎ Review Draft Special and Surprise Audit Reports submitted by the Audit team for finalization and onward submission to the respective authority.
∎ Report immediately on sensitive issues, if found, in separate report to Divisional Head for immediate notification to the Management.
∎ While auditing prescribed TOR will be followed. In addition to application of TOR audit team must ensure prudence, due diligence to ensure mitigation of any potential risk. To review and develop of TOR so that the TOR contains all internal and external requirements.
∎ Conduct review on audit works on AML & CFT issues and reporting thereon based on Independent Testing Procedures of Bangladesh Bank.
∎ Ensure necessary Memos duly been placed before the Meeting of the Mancom, SMT, Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
∎ Conduct review of other audit works as per requirement of Regulatory Authority.
∎ Engage to continuous knowledge development regarding sector's rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards etc.
∎ Sound understanding of laws and statutory regulations pertaining to financial management, operations, audit and compliance preferable.
∎ You should also have a proven track record of influencing individuals to drive results and good communication and presentation skills.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience in Branch Banking (GB, Credit, Foreign exchange & Treasury) / Head Office/Country office banking.
∎ Must be capable of assessing the business as well as control risks of branches/divisions
∎ Must be able to prepare standard report on audit/inspection independently
∎ Experience in risk based auditing, Information Systems (IS) Auditing
∎ Must have sound knowledge on core risks in banking specially Credit/Foreign Exchange Operation
∎ Experience in auditing in different area/ department as per guidelines of Bangladesh Bank like BFIU, BRPD, FEOP, Foreign Exchange Policy
∎ Proactive, self-motivated, able to work under pressure having ability to meet deadlines.
∎ Must have strong communication skills
∎ Good command in both English & Bengali.
∎ Good persuasion & excellent presentation skill
