Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate/Master in Fashion Designing from any Reputed University.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for designing and developing wide range of knit products of the company
∎ (tops & bottoms of menswear, ladieswear, kids wear etc.).
∎ Creating ideas and producing designs by hand or using Computer-aided Design (CAD).
∎ Strong fashion awareness, updated with the emerging fashion trends and product directions relating to fabrics, colors and shapes.
∎ Understanding designs from a technical perspective, i.e., producing patterns and technical specifications for designs.
∎ Developing patterns that are made into garments and supervising the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations.
∎ Should have good sense of product quality, accessories assembling and washing.
∎ Conduct research, sourcing and support merchandising teams with developing overall design collection and assigned projects.
∎ Should be able to do risk assessment, feasibility analysis of a product based on company
∎ strength and capability.
∎ Maintain all sort of technical data of design/sample development so that Merchandising
∎ team gets all info prior to costing the garments.
∎ Liaising closely with the marketing and merchandising team to create new ranges for all
∎ customers.
∎ Sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments.
∎ Should be able to showcase samples, organize showrooms based on customers' portfolio.
∎ Any other job assigned by the authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Knowledge of pattern making, draping, garment construction is essential and the process of transforming a design concept into a finished product.
∎ Should have a clear understanding and knowledge of Knit Fashion Design for creating new styling.
∎ Should have good knowledge about fabrication and its character collection.
∎ Should have in depth knowledge of garment knitting, dyeing & manufacturing processes and ensure quality standards.
∎ Should be skilled in working in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator & Auto CAD.
∎ Must have adequate knowledge on dummies, fit models, the physical aspects of the body structures of men, women and children.
∎ Must have adequate knowledge & experience on fabrics, accessories, measurement and their costing.
∎ Needs to have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and effectively
∎ internally and externally.
∎ Must be fluent in English both in oral/speaking and writing.
∎ Experience in working with Europe & US market will be preferable.
∎ Adobe photoshop, CAD, CLO, 3D, Fashion Designing.
∎ Minimum 3 years' experience of Fashion Designing in a Knit Garment or a Buying agency.
