Responsibilities & Context:
  • Ensure all incoming fabrics meet buyer specifications and quality standards.

  • Inspect fabric for shade variation, GSM, width, defects, skewness, and shrinkage.

  • Coordinate fabric testing with internal and third-party laboratories.

  • Approve fabric before bulk cutting and production.

  • Monitor fabric performance during cutting and sewing.

  • Monitor garment washing processes to achieve required appearance and hand feel.

  • Approve wash standards, shade, and garment measurements.

  • Ensure wash recipes comply with buyer requirements.

  • Investigate and resolve wash-related quality issues such as back staining, uneven shade, and damage.

  • Coordinate with the washing plant for corrective and preventive actions.

  • Review sewing thread test reports and ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Inspect trims and accessories (buttons, zippers, labels, threads, elastics, hangtags, poly bags, cartons, etc.).

  • Verify color, size, functionality, appearance, and durability.

  • Ensure accessories comply with buyer-approved samples and specifications.

  • Coordinate replacement of rejected accessories with suppliers.

  • Maintain incoming accessories inspection reports.

  • Implement quality standards throughout production.

  • Conduct inline, end-line, and final inspections.

  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Ensure compliance with buyer quality manuals and AQL requirements.

  • Coordinate with merchandising, production, sourcing, and technical teams to resolve quality issues.

  • Prepare quality reports, inspection records, and KPI dashboards.

  • Train quality inspectors and production staff on quality standards.

  • Support buyer audits, factory audits, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects, rework, and customer complaints.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO, customer requirements, and factory quality management systems.
