Job Context
We are looking for a sincere, responsible, and technically skilled Junior Hardware Support Engineer to join our IT team.
The candidate should have strong practical knowledge in computer hardware, printer, photocopier, and electronic device troubleshooting and repair. Preference will be given to candidates who can accurately diagnose faults, perform basic repairs, and have a long-term career mindset.
Candidates with a Diploma or BSc in Computer Engineering, Electronics, EEE, or a related technical discipline are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, photocopiers, scanners, UPS, and other electronic devices.
Troubleshoot laser printers, inkjet printers, multifunction printers, and photocopiers.
Identify common printer and photocopier problems, including paper jam, print quality, cartridge/toner, sensor, connectivity, and mechanical issues.
Perform basic electronics troubleshooting using multimeter, tester, soldering tools, and other relevant tools.
Diagnose faulty adapters, power supplies, cables, connectors, control boards, and electronic components.
Replace or repair faulty computer hardware components and peripherals.
Install and configure Windows, device drivers, Microsoft Office, antivirus, and other standard software.
Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, IP, network printer, and shared printer-related issues.
Perform preventive maintenance of IT and electronic equipment.
Maintain proper records of repair, maintenance, spare parts, and IT assets.
Coordinate with vendors/service centers when specialized repair is required.
Ensure all repaired devices are properly tested before handover.
Perform other IT hardware and electronics support tasks assigned by management.
