AKH Knitting & Dyeing Ltd is a 100% export oriented knit composite factory. We want to hire an Assistant Manager – Fashion Designer who can plays a crucial role in bridging creative design and industrial production within the knit garments (RMG) sector.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create innovative knitwear designs (T-shirts, polo shirts, active wear, etc.) based on buyer requirements and fashion trends

• Develop seasonal collections (SS, FW) aligned with international market demand

• Prepare mood boards, color palettes, and concepts

• Modify designs according to buyer feedback

• Follow global fashion trends (WGSN, runway, brands)

• Analyze competitor products and customer preferences

• Suggest new design ideas to merchandising and marketing teams

• Work closely with knitting, dyeing, and finishing departments

• Select appropriate yarn, fabrics, GSM, and compositions

• Develop new fabric finishes and effects (enzyme wash, silicone wash, etc.)

• Source trims (labels, prints, embroidery, accessories)

• Prepare detailed tech packs including garment sketches, measurement specs, fabric details, sewing instructions

• Ensure all design details are clearly communicated to the production team

• Attend buyer meetings (local/virtual)

• Present design concepts and samples

• Incorporate buyer comments and revisions

• Support merchandising team during negotiations

• Work with production, planning, and IE teams

• Ensure design feasibility for bulk production

• Solve design-related issues during production

• Ensure designs meet quality standards

• Follow buyer compliance requirements (sustainability, safety, testing)

• Monitor design consistency from sample to bulk

• Guide junior designers and assistants

• Allocate design tasks and monitor progress

• Provide training and creative direction

• Design products considering cost-effectiveness

• Optimize use of materials and processes

• Work with merchandising to meet target costing
