Job Context:
∎ We at Alam Garments are the country wide leaders in children`s wear manufacturing. We are looking for fashion designers who have relevant experience in designing woven wear for kids and are willing to work onsite in either of our Shadarghat or Shampur branch.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka (Shampur or Sadarghat Branch)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Producing concepts.
∎ Making sketches by hand & computers.
∎ Developing patterns.
∎ Overseeing production.
∎ Analyzing trends in fabrics, colors and shapes
∎ Adapting existing designs for mass production.
∎ Quality control.
∎ Have to make sample according to any hard or soft copy sample
∎ Responsible for creative & different pattern Designing
∎ Should be designed according to the buyer's recommendation.
∎ Prepare and maintain brief sheet
∎ Develop new design and product
∎ Continuous monitoring for developing sample
∎ Strong communication skill in both English and Bangla
∎ Expertise in graphic design software
∎ On time reporting on assigned task by management
∎ Creating an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD)
∎ Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes
∎ Planning and developing ranges
∎ Creating trend tech packs and mood boards for our own collection
∎ Working with others in the design team to develop products to meet a brief
∎ Liaising closely with the marketing and merchandising team to create ranges for all customers.
∎ Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs
∎ Any other responsibility assign by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 4 to 5 years of work experience required with at least 2 years of experience in kids wear design.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Fashion Designing
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile
∎ Only candidates who have relevant working experience in garments industry encourage to apply.
∎ Candidate must have practical woven Garments Design, Merchandising experience.
∎ Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset time-frame
∎ Good interpersonal & communication skills.
∎ Creativity, innovation and flair
∎ An eye for colour and a feel for fabrics and materials
∎ Ability to generate ideas and concepts
∎ Understand Fashion Trend Well
∎ Design and visualization skills, either by hand or through computer-aided design (CAD)
∎ Technical skills, including pattern cutting
∎ A proactive approach
∎ Self-motivation and confidence;
∎ Interpersonal, communication and networking skills
∎ Team working skills
∎ Good organization and time management
∎ Company requirements:
∎ 4 to 5 years experience in designing kids wear.
∎ Capable of transforming designs into mass replicable patterns.
∎ Willing to work on site in either of the Shampur or Shadarghat branch
