Job Description:
The Factory Manager will oversee the production and operations of FMCG manufacturing facility specializing in food items. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the production facility, ensuring efficient and timely production of food items.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet business demands.
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure optimum efficiency.
Develop strategies for sourcing skilled and unskilled laborers to meet production needs.
Monitor labor performance and address any issues related to attendance, productivity, or conduct.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintain high standards of product quality through rigorous quality control measures.
Implement and oversee quality assurance programs to meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Lead and manage a team of production supervisors, operators, and support staff.
Identify areas for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Drive initiatives for waste reduction and resource optimization.
Manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
Coordinate with supply chain team to ensure timely availability of materials.
Monitor and control stock levels to prevent overproduction and stock outs.
Coordinate with maintenance team to minimize downtime.
Implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules.
Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, quality metrics, and operational issues.
Ensure compliance with all documentation and reporting requirements.
