∎ Responsibility:
∎ Technical Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of fabric technology for both knit & woven to evaluate and enhance fabric specifications, ensuring optimal performance and durability.
∎ Quality Assurance: Conduct meticulous fabric inspections to uphold the highest quality standards, identifying defects and implementing effective corrective actions.
∎ Problem Solving: Proactively address fabric quality issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that ensure timely resolutions.
∎ Aesthetic Enhancement: Work closely with designers to improve the look, feel, and lasting quality of fabrics, driving creative and functional innovations.
∎ Color Development: Develop and refine color formulations for dyeing and printing processes, ensuring vibrant and consistent results that align with design vision.
∎ Sample Development: Lead the development and rigorous testing of new fabric samples, providing insightful feedback to guide design and production strategies.
∎ Supplier Research: Research and evaluate fabric suppliers to ensure materials are cost-effective and environmentally sustainable, fostering strong partnerships.
∎ Effective Communication: Facilitate clear and open communication with team members, designers, suppliers, and fashion buyers, ensuring alignment on project goals and expectations.
∎ Market Liaison: Work closely with fashion buyers to align fabric selections with current market trends and sustainability initiatives, optimizing product offerings.
∎ Qualification / Skills:
∎ Education: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Retail Fabric, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
∎ Experience: 7 - 10 years of experience in fabric technology or quality assurance within the textile or fashion industry, with a strong understanding of fabric properties and applications.
∎ Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of fabric specifications of both knit & woven, quality standards, and technical processes, ensuring materials meet industry benchmarks.
∎ Quality Inspection: Skilled in conducting thorough fabric inspections, identifying defects, and implementing effective solutions to maintain high-quality standards.
∎ Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve fabric quality issues, ensuring consistent performance and customer satisfaction.
∎ Consumption Optimization: Experience in monitoring and optimizing fabric consumption, promoting efficiency and sustainability in production processes.
∎ Aesthetic Enhancement: Creative ability to work closely with designers to improve the look, feel, and lasting quality of fabrics, contributing to innovative design solutions.
∎ Color Development: Proficiency in creating and refining color formulations for dyeing and printing processes, ensuring accuracy and vibrancy in finished products.
∎ Sample Development: Hands-on experience in developing and testing new fabric samples, providing critical feedback to enhance product offerings.
∎ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with designers, suppliers, and fashion buyers.
∎ Supplier Research:Strong research skills to identify and evaluate suppliers, ensuring materials are cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
∎ Buyer Liaison:Ability to liaise with fashion buyers to align fabric selections with market trends, balancing aesthetic appeal and sustainability.
∎ Salary:
∎ 50k - 70k (Negotiable).
