We are looking for a dynamic Designer & Product Development Specialist to join our team and help shape the future of our product offerings.
∎ Designation: Designer & Product Developer.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Design Development: Create original, market-relevant designs that reflect current trends and customer needs, from initial concepts to detailed specifications.
∎ Merchandising Collaboration: Work closely with the merchandising team to align design initiatives with market insights, ensuring products are commercially viable and appealing.
∎ End-to-End Product Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and high-quality production.
∎ Market Research / Trend Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of industry trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to inform design decisions and merchandising strategies.
∎ Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet our quality standards and specifications throughout the development process.
∎ Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and sourcing teams to create cohesive strategies that enhance product visibility and drive sales.
∎ Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive products, providing actionable insights to shape our product offerings.
∎ Supplier Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely production and delivery of high-quality products.
∎ Sales Forecasting: Analyze sales data and inventory levels to develop accurate forecasts, ensuring optimal stock levels and maximizing profitability.
∎ Merchandising Strategy: Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that enhance product visibility, drive sales, and elevate brand presence.
∎ Visual Merchandising: Work with marketing and sales teams to create visually appealing displays and marketing materials that showcase our products effectively.
∎ Qualifications:
∎ Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Merchandising, or a related field.
∎ Experience: Minimum 4 -5 of experience in product design and development along with, merchandising preferably within a buying house or retail environment, with a strong focus on merchandising.
∎ Portfolio: A compelling portfolio showcasing your design skills, creativity, and successful product launches.
∎ Key Skills:
∎ Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, etc.) and a solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques.
∎ Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and translate insights into effective design and merchandising strategies.
∎ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
∎ Passion for Design: A genuine enthusiasm for fashion and product innovation, with a keen awareness of current and emerging trends.
∎ Fashion Trend Forecasting: Ability to analyze and predict fashion trends, ensuring designs align with market demands and consumer preferences.
∎ Merchandising Strategy Development: Expertise in creating and implementing effective merchandising strategies that enhance product visibility and drive sales.
∎ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with merchandising, marketing, and production teams, ensuring cohesive product development.
∎ Technical Design Proficiency: Knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, and technical specifications to create products that meet quality standards.
∎ Consumer Insights Analysis: Ability to gather and interpret consumer data to inform design decisions, ensuring products resonate with target audiences.
∎ Sustainable Design Practices: Commitment to incorporating eco-friendly materials and practices into product development, appealing to environmentally conscious consumers.
∎ Creative Conceptualization: Skill in developing innovative design concepts that not only appeal aesthetically but also fulfill merchandising objectives.
∎ Visual Merchandising Expertise: Proficiency in creating visually appealing displays and presentations that effectively showcase products and enhance brand image.
