Job Context:
∎ (100% export oriented sweater factory)
∎ Job Location : Gazipur (Near National University)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure chemical compliance of the internal activities according to the chemical code of practice.
∎ Ensure all the environment and chemical related platforms (FEM of Higg, ISO 14001:2015, CleanChain, Detox, ZDHC etc.) are updated as per the requirement.
∎ Implement EMS, EIA, EMP, CMP.
∎ Analyze MSDS with CAS No., GHS pictogram, cross-check CAS in ZDHC MRSL and make sure that chemical and out of 11 priorities banned and restricted groups.
∎ Ensure proper chemical storage, labeling, secondary containment and safe use.
∎ Ensure MSDS, labeling in chemical store, ETP, spot removing room and all relevant applicable area.
∎ Prepare chemical and waste related inventory, chemical stock & usage report for upload in the CleanChain portal.
∎ Prepare water, reused water and utility consumption report.
∎ Analyze waste water treatment report result from factories and ensure quality from the report as per factory compliance.
∎ Monitor ETP Performance and liaison with the Department of Environment (DOE) on a regular basis to update Environment Clearance of Factories.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the environmental parameters as per DOE Standards & ECR-1997 & achieve ZDHC standard.
∎ Prepare and update EMS related policy and procedure.
∎ Ensure environmental health and safety requirements.
∎ Execute the operational system/process for ETP.
∎ Conduct energy audit and ensure energy management plan.
∎ Trained the workers on chemical handling and waste management policy.
∎ Conduct Internal Environmental Audit as per Code of Conduct to meet compliance and identify improvement area accordingly on regular basis, regarding Non-Conformity conduct with line managers of related departments to ensure the compliance status.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
∎ Environmental Management Planning (EMP) and Environmental Management System (EMS)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
∎ Sweater Industry
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ Must be conversant with ETP operation & maintenance.
∎ Have to liaison with external & internal affairs (DoE, Buyers, etc)
∎ Must have experience with ZDHC and Recycle Plant, 3R.
∎ Must have practical experience on working with Higg Index (Higg Facility Environment Module).
∎ Must have fluency in English (Speaking and writing)
∎ Should have a passion for the environment, water saving
∎ ISO 14001:2015 certified internal auditor will get preference.
