Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science
∎ Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or a related field from, University of Dhaka, Janahanginagar University, BUET, RUET, KUET and Bangladesh Agricultural University are preferable.
∎ Skills Required: Analytical and problem solving skills, Communication and Negotiation Skill, Environmet Audit

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement supplier environmental compliance strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
∎ Translate local environmental regulations from local language to English
∎ Conduct regular communication with suppliers and factories via email and phone calls to obtain information on their environmental compliance practices.
∎ Schedule and coordinate environmental audits for suppliers and factories and follow up on corrective actions resulting from audits.
∎ Request and analyse product packaging data from suppliers and factories to ensure compliance with our environmental standards.
∎ Support and request suppliers and factories to perform wastewater testing to ensure compliance with our environmental standards.
∎ Conduct research and prepare PowerPoint presentations as requested by management.
∎ Maintain and update our internal database to ensure the accuracy of supplier environmental compliance data.
∎ Conduct supply chain mapping and support suppliers and factories in developing chemical inventory lists.
∎ Manage and oversee documentation and ensure compliance with internal systems.
∎ 20% Traveling required to factories to provide training or conducting environmental audits.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 27 to 35 years
∎ Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
∎ Demonstrated experience in conducting environmental assessments and audits.
∎ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with suppliers.
∎ Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse data and identify trends.
∎ Knowledge of industry standards and certifications such as ICS, ISO 14001, ZDHC, Higg Index, GRS, OCS, RCS, BEPI, FSC, GOTS, Oeko-Tex, and Reach.
∎ Experience in carbon emissions calculations and life cycle analysis.
∎ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices and environmental management systems is an asset.
∎ Fluency in English, both written and spoken and local language. Additional language skills are an asset.
