JOB CONTEXT
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead worker recruitment, management, and industrial relations functions for a large textile mill. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring adequate worker supply, maintaining harmonious worker-management relations and supporting operational departments in managing worker-related issues.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, coordinate, and execute recruitment of workers and operators for various departments as per manpower requirements.
• Maintain an effective worker database and manpower pipeline to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.
• Work closely with departmental heads to identify, address, and resolve worker-related issues.
• Monitor worker attendance, discipline, productivity, turnover, and retention.
• Conduct worker grading, performance evaluation, and skill assessments.
• Counsel workers regarding wages, overtime, leave, holidays, attendance, benefits, and company policies.
• Support management in implementing labor laws, factory regulations, and disciplinary procedures.
• Gather and analyze market intelligence regarding wage structures, payment practices, holidays, and labor trends within the spinning or textile sector.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for management regarding labor management and workforce optimization.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Act and Labour Rules.
• Excellent negotiation, counseling, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to build rapport with workers, supervisors, and departmental heads.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
Degree in HRM or Law will be an added advantage.
