Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Director of Human Resources is a senior leader that provides Brac University with strategic leadership in all human capital related matters as the University evolves its culture and processes into becoming a high performing institution. He/she will direct the HR function and be responsible for the strategic human resource planning required to deliver organizational effectiveness and provide the institution with the best people talent available and position it as an employer of choice in Bangladesh.
∎ This will be achieved by being aware of international best practice trends and processes and implementing appropriate best practice at Brac University.
∎ Provide functional expertise in compensation and benefits, learning and development, talent resourcing and retention, employee relations, performance management and change management.
∎ Serve as a trusted advisor to the President/ VC on strategic/HR matters and key members of the Executive team by providing strategic advice and direction to senior colleagues and staff across the university
∎ Design the HR function to meet the long term aims of Brac University, and build the necessary skills and knowledge in the HR team to undertake complex leading edge HR work

Additional Requirements:
∎ A strong human-resources professional with plenty of energy and a proven track record of successfully leading the full range of human capital services. Demonstration of strategic capabilities and tangible evidence of achieving meaningful results at a senior level will be necessary. Furthermore, evidence of understanding and being able to respond successfully to the needs of a broad stakeholder group will be required.
∎ Significant experience of providing leadership to the human resources function of a complex organization. Experience of improving internal processes and managing change. Strategic thinking, effective leadership, influencing skills, very strong interpersonal skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse group of international colleagues and external stakeholders is essential. Experience of undertaking previous international assignments would be beneficial.
