Skills Required:
Additional Requirements:
15+ years of experience in denim washing and 5-7 years in senior leadership roles.
Expertise in denim chemistry, enzymes, finishing techniques, and garment aesthetics, with a proven track record working with international denim buyers.
Strong leadership, decision-making, cost management skills, and experience in subcontract management, cost control, and product/process analysis.
Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibility:
Oversee all denim washing processes, including enzyme wash, stone wash, bleach, acid wash, vintage, laser, ozone, whisker, and hand finishing.
Lead R&D and wash development to align with buyer trends, fashion, and buyer-approved wash recipes during bulk production.
Ensure strict adherence to wash recipes and manage chemical consumption, water usage, and cost control per piece.
Monitor machine performance and coordinate with teams (Merchandising, Denim Production, QA, IE, and Planning).
Drive sustainability initiatives, manage compliance with environmental regulations, and prepare KPI dashboards and performance reports.
