Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) in political science, public administration. public policy, international development, or related fields
Minimum 7 years' experience in governance-focused or comparable development programs, including program design, finance and administration, MERL, communications. and donor engagement
Strong understanding of Bangladesh's governance landscape
Experience managing partners, budgets, reporting, and compliance in donor-funded programs (FCDO/USAID/DFAT/World Bank/ADB preferred)
Familiarity with political economy analysis, GESI, and adaptive management
Excellent written and verbal English skills.

The Asia Foundation (TAF) is seeking a qualified Deputy Team Leader for its six-year Building State Effectiveness and Accountability (BSEA) program funded by FCDO. This role provides day-to-day operational, technical, and administrative leadership to ensure smooth, compliant, and high-impact program implementation.
The Deputy Team Leader will support overall program management, lead on operations (finance, procurement, administration, compliance, safeguarding), coordinate with downstream partners. oversee MERL, communications, and research, and maintain strong relationships with government, civil society, and development partners.
Note: This is a national position, based in Bangladesh.
