Job Context:
∎ Location: Head Office
∎ JOB PURPOSE:
∎ Develop & establish the occupational health & safety management system ensuing minimum loss/accident across all units of BRAC. Assess for developing the action plan and Implement safety risk mitigation measures along with firefighting installations in BRAC major establishments to reduce the risk factors related to occupational health & safety.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Identify safety related issues, prioritize, take preventive measures for avoiding incidents/accidents, develop safe procedures, conduct safety awareness training, practices and mock drills, etc.
∎ Find out the innovative preventive solutions based on the site risks assessment of BRAC major establishments. Advise & assist Safety in-charge/management to any safety related concerns.
∎ Ensure building and structural safety of BRAC buildings and facilities in coordination with construction and maintenance department in line with BNBC, RAJUK, CDA, KDA, RDA, Pourasava, UP and other relevant regulations.
∎ Vigorous visit on the BRAC sites such as field/regional offices, BRACU, Factories, BLCs, etc... to improve the safety culture as well as fire preventive installations and developing safe operating procedures.
∎ Study and find out the best intellectual technology solution along with dept. in-charge for adding value for the employees including stakeholders and ensuring safe working environment.
∎ Prepare monthly report of the major incident, trend analysis, then share learnings along with the improvement plan on developing safety culture. Assist supervisor in development, annual reviews and upgrading of existing safety programs.
∎ Perform as supreme team player, manage multiple layer of team members in different BRAC sites, delegate work & engaging positively aligning with the work/mission given by the dept. in-charge/organization.
∎ Develop an effective training calendar, visit plan and maintain accordingly for the organization on building safety culture across the organization.
∎ Identify hazards, prioritize and eliminate, steps of developing safety team, take innovative sustainable steps for ensuring occupational health & safety.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field.
∎ Technological, analytical, communication, leadership, reporting, team management, authority delegation, Knowledge of regulatory organization. Continuous improvement. Training and mentoring skills.
∎ Good grasp on Safety Engineering knowledge along with occupational health, exposure to the job specific risks, national & international OHS standards, OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 14001, Food Safety Management System; BNBC etc.
∎ Functional/Technical competencies, Positive behavioral leads, Professional, setting an appropriate goal & strong driving capacity, decision making and team work
