Additional Requirements:
  • Age 30 to 45 years
  • Strong knowledge of Labor Law (Act 2006 & Rules 2015) and Working experience with government bodies (DIFE, DOL, Industrial Police).

  • Ability to conduct compliance audits and skills in identifying gaps and proposing corrective actions.

  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders.

  • Capability to handle disciplinary issues through investigation fairly and legally.

  • Skilled in developing and delivering training on labor law and compliance and able to explain complex legal matters in simple terms.

  • Experience in participating in union negotiations and understanding of industrial relations and collective bargaining processes.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Develop and implement compliance policies aligned with the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 and Labour Rules 2015.

  • Respond to letters from government authorities (e.g., DIFE, DOL) and ensure timely follow-up.

  • Conduct audits to assess legal compliance in member factories; monitor and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.

  • Maintain effective relations with DIFE, DOL, and Industrial Police.

  • Manage disciplinary issues and promote fair labor practices.

  • Investigate social compliance violations and take necessary actions.

  • Foster a culture of social responsibility and ethical conduct.

  • Draft and review HR-related legal documents to ensure legal alignment.

  • Participate in collective bargaining; maintain relationships with CBA, national labor federations, and BEF.

  • Provide training and guidance on the Labour Act and Rules to relevant staff.

  • Any other job assigned by the Supervisor.
