Responsibilities & Context:

• Lead the Design & Development Department by planning, organizing, and supervising all design and product development activities to achieve organizational objectives.

• Oversee Product Design and Development from concept through prototype, testing, and final production, ensuring quality, functionality, and customer requirements are met.

• Manage Cross-Functional Coordination with production, quality, procurement, marketing, and sales teams to ensure smooth product development and timely commercialization.

• Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement by introducing new technologies, materials, design methodologies, and value engineering initiatives.

• Ensure Project Delivery by monitoring project schedules, budgets, resources, and milestones to complete development projects on time and within budget.

• Lead and Develop the Team by mentoring, coaching, evaluating performance, and enhancing the technical capabilities of design and development personnel.

• Maintain Quality and Compliance by ensuring all designs comply with applicable standards, customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

• Optimize Product Cost and Efficiency through design improvements, material optimization, and manufacturing-friendly solutions while maintaining product quality.

• Manage Technical Documentation by reviewing and approving engineering drawings, specifications, design changes, and other technical records to ensure accuracy and traceability.

• Support Business Growth by providing technical expertise for new business opportunities, customer meetings, strategic planning, and new product development initiatives.
