Experience:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, Social Science, Industrial Relations, or a relevant discipline.
Professional training/certification in Social Compliance, Labor Law, Sustainability, H&S or related areas will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law, Labor Rules, DIFE requirements and statutory compliance
Excellent knowledge of BSCI, SEDEX/SMETA, WRAP, SCAN, Better Work, CTPAT, ICS and HIGG/FSLM
Strong Social Compliance Audit Management skills
Excellent CAP (Corrective Action Plan) & Root Cause Analysis skills
Strong Risk Assessment, Gap Analysis and Internal Audit capability
Excellent Leadership and Team Management skills
Strong Problem-Solving and Decision-Making ability
Excellent Communication, Negotiation and Stakeholder Management skills
Strong knowledge of Worker Welfare, Grievance Handling and Industrial Relations
Ability to manage buyer/customer and third-party auditors
Strong report writing, documentation and presentation skills
Good command of English and Bangla, both written and verbal
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple audits and deadlines
Strong analytical and compliance monitoring skills
High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Law, Labor Rules, DIFE and applicable statutory requirements.
Lead and manage BSCI, SEDEX/SMETA, WRAP, SCAN, Better Work, CTPAT, ICS and HIGG/FSLM compliance requirements and assessments.
Manage buyer/customer social compliance audits, third-party audits and internal assessments.
Ensure compliance with wages, working hours, overtime, leave, benefits, appointment letters and worker records.
Ensure effective implementation of worker rights, freedom of association, grievance mechanisms and worker-management relations.
Maintain zero tolerance for child labor, forced labor, discrimination, harassment and abusive disciplinary practices.
Lead Corrective Action Plans (CAP), root-cause analysis and timely closure of audit findings.
Conduct regular internal social compliance audits, risk assessments and mock audits.
Ensure proper worker welfare, health & safety and workplace condition requirements under applicable social standards.
Maintain complete and accurate compliance documentation, registers and audit evidence.
Train management, supervisors and workers on labor law, buyer requirements and social compliance standards.
Prepare Compliance KPI, audit status, risk and CAP reports for senior management.
Lead, develop and monitor the performance of the Social Compliance Team.
