• Experience in Woven and Outerwear garments will be preferred.

• Lead, manage, and develop the cutting team, ensuring effective manpower planning, productivity, discipline, performance, and teamwork.

• Develop, implement, and monitor daily and weekly cutting plans in line with the master production plan, shipment schedules, and sewing line requirements.

• Oversee all pre-cutting activities, including fabric inspection, relaxation, shrinkage testing, fabric utilization analysis, lay planning, and marker approval.

• Ensure continuous and timely feeding of accurately cut panels to sewing lines while maintaining production priorities and delivery commitments.

• Analyse fabric consumption against approved/budgeted consumption and implement corrective actions to control excess consumption and fabric wastage.

• Ensure proper fabric laying, cutting, numbering, bundling, and panel identification to prevent shade variation, size mix-ups, and bundle errors.

• Establish and enforce cutting quality standards to ensure accurate panel cutting in accordance with approved patterns, specifications, size sets, and technical requirements.

• Monitor cutting defects, lay-related issues, fabric faults, and panel discrepancies; conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

• Work closely with Quality, Pattern, Sample, CAD, and Technical teams to resolve cutting-related issues and continuously improve process quality.

• Lead, develop, and evaluate the cutting team, including cutting supervisors, cutters, spreaders, helpers, and CAD operators, ensuring effective manpower utilisation and productivity.

• Coordinate with Merchandising, Planning, CAD, Fabric Store, Quality, and Sewing departments to ensure smooth production flow and timely resolution of operational issues.

• Participate in Pre-Production Meetings (PPM) and review technical requirements, critical operations, fabric characteristics, cutting specifications, and delivery expectations.

• Monitor cutting productivity, manpower efficiency, fabric utilisation, wastage, re-cutting, and production output against established targets.

• Ensure proper control and reconciliation of fabric issuance, consumption, balance fabric, cutting output, wastage, and rejected panels.
