Responsibilities & Context:

• Collect fabric and yarn requirements from Merchandising and Product Development teams.

• Request, compare, and evaluate supplier quotations and lead negotiations within defined limits.

• Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (PO) and maintain accurate documentation.

• Follow up with suppliers for sample yardages, bulk yardages, lab dips, and approvals.

• Maintain strong professional communication with fabric and yarn mills and suppliers.

• Track and monitor supplier performance regarding quality, lead time, and service compliance / capacity management.

• Assist in onboarding new fabric, yarn, and accessories/trims suppliers when needed.

• Strong knowledge of fabric types (Woven/Denim), and yarn types (Sweater) construction and manufacturing processes. 

• Update fabric, yarn, and accessories/trims status reports and highlight risks or delays proactively.

• Coordinate with QC, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth inbound process.

• Maintain accurate records in ERP/Excel including PO details, delivery status, cost breakdowns, and approvals.

• Prepare weekly/monthly fabric and yarn supply reports for internal review.

• Support system updates (ERP/SCM) related to fabric and yarn purchase and stock.

• Work closely with Merchandising, Planning, Commercial, QC, and Warehouse teams to ensure seamless workflow.

• Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities adhere to company SOPs and compliance standards.

• Assist in cost analysis and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.

• Co-ordinate with Design team for new fabric and yarn sourcing.

• Co-ordinate with Compliance team for supplier sustainable initiative.
