• Working knowledge of MS Excel / production reporting tools and ERP-based line monitoring is a plus

1. Lead and oversee Sewing production operations to achieve daily/monthly production targets, quality standards and on-time shipment.

2. Develop and execute production plans based on order requirements, SMV, capacity, manpower and machine availability.

3. Ensure effective line loading, line balancing, operation allocation, WIP control and production flow across all lines.

4. Monitor hourly output, efficiency, productivity, downtime and line performance, taking prompt corrective actions where required.

5. Ensure smooth execution of styles from pre-production to bulk production, maintaining approved methods, specifications and production standards.

6. Apply strong technical knowledge of garment construction, sewing methods, operation breakdown and production processes, particularly for relevant product categories.

7. Work closely with IE, Quality, Cutting, Washing, Finishing and Planning teams to resolve bottlenecks and ensure uninterrupted production flow.

8. Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, approved samples, workmanship standards and quality objectives, minimizing defects, alteration and rejection.

9. Optimize manpower and machine utilization, including effective deployment, skill-based allocation and re-balancing during style changes.

10. Lead and develop supervisors, line chiefs and production teams through performance monitoring, coaching and skill development.

11. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity and capacity utilization while reducing downtime and non-productive time.

12. Control production costs by minimizing wastage, rejection, alteration, overtime and resource inefficiencies.

13. Ensure proper coordination for machine maintenance, technical issues and production-related breakdowns to minimize disruption.

14. Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly production reports and KPI analysis, highlighting performance gaps and improvement actions.

15. Maintain workplace discipline, safety, compliance and effective floor management, and carry out other responsibilities assigned by management.
