Experience:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any discipline; Textile/Apparel-related education will be preferred.
Candidates with strong relevant experience may be considered with a different educational background.
6–10 years of relevant experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in Knit Garments.
Candidates currently working as Quality In-Charge will be preferred.
Strong experience in both Sewing and Finishing Quality is essential.
Experience with international buyers and buyer-specific quality requirements will be an advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Knit Garments Quality Control.
Excellent knowledge of sewing and finishing defects.
Good understanding of AQL, Inline, End-Line, Final Inspection, DHU, RFT, and quality reporting.
Ability to work effectively with Production, Merchandising, IE, Cutting, and Compliance teams.
Take overall responsibility for quality control activities in Sewing and Finishing sections.
Ensure production quality is maintained according to approved samples, specifications, measurement charts, tech packs, and buyer requirements.
Supervise and guide Quality Supervisors, Quality Inspectors, and QC teams.
Monitor quality at different stages of sewing, including inline, end-line, and finishing inspection.
Identify major and recurring defects and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor sewing defects such as open seam, skipped stitch, broken stitch, uneven stitch, puckering, needle damage, oil stain, shade variation, and measurement issues.
Ensure proper finishing quality, including trimming, thread cleaning, ironing, folding, tagging, packing, and final presentation.
Conduct regular quality meetings with Production, IE, Merchandising, and other relevant departments.
Analyze rejection, alteration, rework, DHU, and defect reports and take necessary corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with buyer-specific quality standards and factory quality SOPs.
Monitor AQL and final inspection procedures and ensure products are ready for buyer inspection.
Coordinate with Production and Sewing teams to reduce alteration, rejection, and rework.
Ensure proper implementation of quality checkpoints and inspection systems.
Investigate customer/buyer complaints and implement corrective action plans.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports to management.
Ensure quality records and inspection reports are properly maintained.
Train and develop quality personnel to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Ensure compliance with factory policies, safety requirements, and quality standards.
