Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ ASA delivers microfinance services to around 7.3 million clients. It is the largest MFI in the world with almost 26 thousand employees.
∎ ASA, IT is integrated with Development, Quality Assurance, Implementation, Security, and Infrastructure teams. Database Administrator (DBA) will work under the supervision of Lead DBA and will be responsible for ensuring database migration, data transfer, health monitoring, performance, maintenance, and instant support (Fields, Internal Teams). Currently, the DBA team is working with big volume databases like 6 to 10 TB by latest MS SQL server as well as server configuration 4 socket 128 physical core, 1.5TB RAM and storage NVMe Technology.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist developers with database activities and in need advise on the most efficient database designs (tables, indexes, data types, stored procedures, functions, table partitioning, etc.)
∎ Assist in SQL server installation, upgradation, security configurations and maintenance (Log, Temp, Datafile) including failover clusters environment (High Availability Management)
∎ Ensure daily database monitoring, performance tuning and managing parameters to provide fast responses to front-end users.
∎ Provide oversight and manage performance, integrity, and security of the company databases.
∎ Define, configure, document, and test disaster recovery plans
∎ Assist in Troubleshooting, bug fixing and resolving issues without excessive downtime (or) data loss on production databases.
∎ Should have a positive mindset to work in different working hours (shifting duties, 24 x 7 x 365) and Support activities.
∎ Undertake any other lawful responsibilities as assigned by the office/supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 32 years
∎ Hands-on experience on mission critical database maintenance works such as Index maintenance, Statistics maintenance, Data file maintenance, Database capacity plan, detecting database corrupt pages, Check Database Integrity, Error log review, etc.
∎ Hands-on experience on migrating a database from one system to another and data transfer procedure.
∎ Good understanding of Database backup, restore and archiving procedure.
∎ Applicant MUST be a non-smoker.
∎ Ability to work independently and under pressure.
∎ Team oriented attitude with strong communications skills
∎ Should have good experience on OLTP, OLAP, Complex Stored Procedure, Trigger, Function, Cursor
∎ Must have 3+ years' experience with large database and extensive transactional data set.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 65000 (Monthly)
∎ For highly qualified & experienced candidates salary will be negotiable. Probation period will be 1 (one) year long. After successful completion of the probationary period, the employee will be accommodated in the regular Pay Scale of ASA.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ All admissible benefits like Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, Yearly Increment, Festival Allowance, Nabobarsha Allowance (Boishakhy) and Employee's Group Benefit Fund will be attributed to the regularized employee on successful completion of the probation period.
