  • Experience in the Development Sector/NGO will be preferred.

  • Proven track record of handling digital media and advocacy campaigns will be given priority.

  • Professional proficiency in both Bangla and English (writing, speaking, and listening).

  • Hands-on knowledge of photography and videography. Knowledge of graphic design (Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator) or video editing software will be considered as added advantage.

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and proficiency in MS Office suite.



Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context: The incumbent will be responsible as one of the team members entrusted with developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that enhance ASA’s brand visibility, manage public relations, and effectively articulate the organization’s impact to its stakeholders, donors, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Brand Management

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive yearly Communication Strategy customized for different channels to position ASA.

  • Draft branding guidelines, communication style, and best practices.

2. Digital Media & Web Management

  • Contribute to efforts aimed at fostering ASA’s digital presence across all social media channels (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn) through regular content creation (text, images, videos, etc.) and targeted campaigns (e.g., leveraging international days), story-driven posts, and data-informed campaigns.

  • Manage, optimize, and continually update ASA Bangladesh official website to reflect the latest program information and related updates.

  • Translate related digital and web content into professional Bangla and English as required/advised, adapting to local context.

  • Monitor social media analytics, conduct digital research, and schedule posts to maximize reach, followers, and audience engagement.

  • Explore, recommend, and manage paid social media advertising to amplify key messages, boost post reach, and increase follower conversion.

  • Identify and engage with digital influencers, partners, and online communities to extend ASA’s reach and foster meaningful conversations around poverty alleviation and empowerment.

  • Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and ranking on search engines.

  • Work with web developers to enhance site functionality, speed, and mobile responsiveness.

3. Media & Public Relations

  • Ensure a strong national media presence by proactively reaching out to reporters with ASA’s key insights and achievements.

  • Build and sustain a reliable network of journalists, editors, and media personnel.

  • Write and promptly distribute press releases, media kits, and statements for ASA events and organizational updates.

  • Conduct daily media screenings to document relevant news reports and maintain an organized digital storage system for all media files.

4. Content Development, Multimedia & Field Documentation

  • Conduct regular field visits to authentically capture ASA-funded/assigned project outcomes and beneficiary stories, providing on-ground support to accompanying videographers, photographers, and journalists as required/advised.

  • Lead the end-to-end production of multimedia materials in both Bangla and English, including scripting, filming, editing, and subtitling, while incorporating feedback from team members and partners as required/advised.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of promotional project materials (e.g., booklets, brochures, posters), overseeing the write-up, design, printing, and distribution.

  • Professionally translate all digital and web content into Bangla and English, ensuring accuracy and adaptation to local cultural nuances.

  • Work closely with external communication agencies and vendors to support multimedia and print production needs.

5. Event Management & Logistics

  • Assist relevant team members in planning, organizing, and executing events in arranging comprehensive logistical support in coordination with relevant teams.

  • Create and maintain a calendar of events as advised by the authority.

  • Document event outcomes, preserve related documents/resources, and best practices for further uses.

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing both in-person and virtual events (webinars, hybrid conferences, meetings) with a focus on digital integration and live streaming where applicable.

6. Fraud Awareness & Public Alerts

  • Develop and disseminate fraud awareness communications through appropriate media to protect beneficiaries, staff, and the public from scams and misuse of ASA's reputation.

  • Monitor media and digital platforms to identify unauthorized use of ASA's name, logo, or brand, and coordinate timely public responses and corrective actions.

  • Maintain updated records of fraud incidents, media coverage, complaints, and communication interventions for reporting, audit, and compliance purposes.

  • Coordinate with the Legal and Compliance teams to issue timely public warnings and advisories.

7. Cross-functional Coordination for Research Dissemination

  • Translate internal research findings, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) data, and programmatic outcomes into compelling impact stories, white papers, policy briefs, case studies, and detailed donor reports.

  • Collaborate with the program teams and others to identify key research milestones and coordinate the publication and promotion of findings through appropriate digital, print, and event-based channels.



Job Other Benifits:
    • Salary: Tk 75,000. However, highly deserving candidates may be considered for a slightly higher initial salary.

    • The probationary period will be 1 (one) year long. After successfully completing the probationary period, the employee will be placed on the regular ASA pay scale.

    • All admissible benefits like Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, Yearly Increment, Festival Allowance, Nabobarsha Allowance (Boishakhi), and Employee’s Group Benefit Fund, etc., after successful completion of a one-year probation period as per ASA rules and regulations.
