• B.Sc./M.Sc. in CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, or any equivalent relevant degree in the engineering discipline from any recognized University/institution.

• Professional Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft (MCSE/MCSA), Red Hat (RHCSA/RHCE), VMware (VCP-DCV), networking/security certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CEH, or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

• Age At most 40 years

• Minimum 10 years of experience in System Administration, Virtualization, Data Center operations, and Network Administration, including at least 3 years of experience in managing Data Center (DC), Disaster Recovery (DR), and multi-branch network environments, and 2 years in managing a relevant team.

• Hands-on experience with VMware vCenter, ESXi, Hyper-V, EMC/HP SAN Storage, Enterprise Backup solutions, and networking/security technologies. Certifications in Firewalls/Security (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos, etc.) are an added advantage.

• Experience working in a financial organization will be given preference.

• Strong knowledge of Data Center (DC) architecture, redundancy models, high-availability design, and structured cabling standards.

• Experience in managing high-availability configurations for in-house applications.

• Experience in coordinating Data Center operations, DR replication, and failover processes.

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Routers, Catalyst, Nexus, and Meraki devices.

• Hands-on experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (Cisco FTD/ASA, Palo Alto, Sophos, Fortinet, etc.).

• Knowledge of SD-WAN, SDN architecture, and enterprise WAN optimization.

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, IT policies, and audit standards.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in English and Bengali.

• Professional attitude, team-oriented mindset, and ability to work under pressure.

• Ability to manage critical incidents effectively and interact at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities & Context:

ASA Bangladesh, a leader in microfinance, is seeking a Lead System & Network Engineer to manage its enterprise IT systems, servers, storage, and network environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our multi-site infrastructure, connecting the Head Office, Disaster Recovery (DR) site, and hundreds of branch offices nationwide. It also includes managing servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and network connectivity, while ensuring business continuity, high availability, and secure operations across all sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise system and network architecture aligned with organizational and business requirements.

• Plan, deploy, and manage LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

• Manage Data Center (DC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments, including infrastructure expansion, migration, and upgrade activities.

• Manage servers, virtualization platforms (VMware vCenter/ESXi, Hyper-V), and enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS).

• Administer core infrastructure services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Exchange, IIS/web hosting, proxy, and load balancing solutions.

• Manage and maintain network devices (routers, switches, wireless controllers), ensuring secure and reliable connectivity across Head Office, DC, DR, and branch locations.

• Configure and manage enterprise security solutions, including Firewalls, WAF, VPN (Site-to-Site, SSL, Remote Access), IDS/IPS, SIEM, DLP, and PAM.

• Implement advanced security measures such as SSL inspection, DDoS protection, and threat prevention; ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory standards.

• Plan, implement, and monitor enterprise backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Commvault), ensuring data integrity and successful restoration.

• Ensure DR replication, synchronization, and failover readiness; conduct periodic DR drills and business continuity testing.

• Monitor system and network performance, availability, and capacity; analyze trends and recommend optimization and upgrades.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, configuration records, and change management logs.

• Provide advanced technical support, troubleshoot critical incidents, and handle escalations to ensure minimal downtime.

• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and service providers for maintenance, support, and SLA compliance.

• Support Head Office and branch users by ensuring smooth operation of infrastructure and enterprise systems.

• Perform automation and scripting using PowerShell/Bash and collaborate with teams on DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, IaC tools – preferred).
