∎ Strong SQL and data model optimization abilities.

Job Context:
∎ A well-reputed Software Development Firm is looking for Database Administrator for their Organization.
∎ A Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization`s database systems, ensuring that they are secure, reliable, and efficient.
∎ The Database Administrator will be part of the team responsible for the provisioning, deployment as well as day-to-day secure operations and maintenance of our different service offerings in the local premises as well as cloud.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Install, configure, and continuously optimize our MySQL database instances.
∎ Perform day-to-day management, patching, maintenance, and backup of all databases.
∎ Provide 24/7 troubleshooting and support on a demand basis.
∎ Ensure systems remain secure and are continuously running effectively and meet our SLA requirements.
∎ Participate in upgrades and configuration modifications on the production systems.
∎ Develop scripts and create reports for database health monitoring and usage metrics analysis.
∎ Define, document, and deploy configuration management, disaster recovery, and other key operations processes.
∎ Drive a total automation philosophy to achieve a high level of reliability, availability, scalability, security, and performance efficiently and effectively.
∎ Identify and raise to management, database vulnerabilities threat could be exploited by an attacker.
∎ DBAs work with developers and other stakeholders to design and implement database structures that are efficient, scalable, and secure.
∎ DBAs monitor database performance to ensure that it is meeting the organization's requirements, and they make adjustments as needed to improve performance.
∎ DBAs work with developers and other stakeholders to design and implement database structures that are efficient, scalable, and secure.
∎ Collaborate with Vendors.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 40 years
∎ Strong knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts (i.e. Replication, Cluster)
∎ Experience with pro-active monitoring and knowledge of database monitoring tools (i.e.Enterprise Monitor, Workbench, MonYog, PMM)
∎ Experience using backup tools like MySQL Enterprise Backup, RMAN etc
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
∎ Experience administering in a Linux Environment (i.e. CentOS, RedHat Linux)
∎ Knowledge of Cloud or Virtualization technologies (AWS, GCP)
∎ Strong knowledge of security protocols and internationally recognized security benchmark.
∎ Excellent communication & documentation skills
∎ Experience in dealing with customer issues under time pressure.
∎ Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
∎ Shell scripting, Docker/Microservices, SaaS/DEVOPS experience
∎ Strong command of the English language.
