Introducing Desipro Pte. Ltd

Desipro Pte Ltd operates as a liaison office in Bangladesh, representing a Singapore-based company. Our primary role involves facilitating communication and coordination between local contractors in Bangladesh and our parent company. We ensure that all aspects of the parent company's contracts are met to uphold quality standards, adhere to general terms, and ensure timely delivery. Our responsibilities include sourcing materials, conducting inspections, liaising with local suppliers, and coordinating various activities to support our principal company's operations effectively.

Job Overview/and responsibilities

Desipro Pte Ltd is seeking a highly experienced and strategically oriented Country Sustainability and Procurement Leader to oversee and strengthen the company’s liaison office operations in Bangladesh while driving the implementation of global sustainability and procurement strategies. In this senior leadership role, the incumbent will be entrusted with monitoring, coordinating, and optimizing all local liaison office activities, ensuring seamless alignment with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives. The role involves overseeing day-to-day office functions, supporting client operations, and acting as the primary point of contact for coordination between local stakeholders, suppliers, vendors, and headquarters. Alongside operational oversight, the incumbent will develop and implement country-specific sustainability programs, ESG initiatives, and responsible procurement strategies, ensuring suppliers and partners comply with environmental, social, and governance standards, ethical sourcing requirements, and quality benchmarks. The leader will establish rigorous performance monitoring, reporting, and compliance mechanisms to track operational efficiency, sustainability outcomes, and supply chain risk, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans. A key responsibility is to provide expert guidance, training, and support to internal teams, suppliers, and partners to facilitate adoption of sustainability practices, procurement standards, and process improvements, while ensuring smooth client coordination and project execution. The role demands proactive risk identification across operations, sustainability, and supply chains, with development and implementation of mitigation strategies to safeguard compliance, reputation, and operational resilience. Acting as a critical liaison between the Bangladesh office, global headquarters, and regional teams, the incumbent will ensure timely communication, accurate reporting, and strategic alignment of sustainability, procurement, and operational activities. By promoting standardized processes, ESG-compliant supplier engagement, and continuous improvement, the Country Sustainability and Procurement Leader will ensure the liaison office operates efficiently, supports client operations effectively, and upholds the highest standards of corporate responsibility, while fully adhering to the non-commercial and advisory scope permitted to liaison offices in Bangladesh.

Must haves for this position:

The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines, with professional certifications in ESG, Sustainability, or responsible procurement considered highly advantageous. The role requires a minimum of 10–12 years of demonstrated experience in global sustainability, ESG programs, and international procurement, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing sustainability initiatives across complex multinational supply chains. The incumbent must possess extensive experience in supplier engagement, ethical sourcing, procurement compliance, and risk management, alongside prior exposure to liaison office operations or coordination of non-commercial functions, ensuring full alignment with corporate objectives. Strong experience in cross-border coordination with headquarters, regional teams, and multiple stakeholders is essential.

The candidate must have deep expertise in global ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting standards, and international environmental, social, and governance regulations, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and supply chain risk mitigation. Ability to analyze operational and sustainability data, monitor key performance indicators, and develop actionable improvement strategies is crucial. Familiarity with the Bangladesh regulatory environment, labor laws, environmental compliance, and corporate governance requirements is mandatory to ensure adherence to local standards while implementing international ESG and procurement practices.

The role demands proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams, providing strategic guidance on sustainability, procurement, and liaison office operations. The candidate must demonstrate strong strategic thinking, project management, and change management capabilities, with the ability to drive operational efficiency, ESG improvements, and supplier performance. Exceptional skills in prioritizing, delegating, and overseeing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality are required.

Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential to manage relationships with headquarters, local teams, suppliers, vendors, clients, and government authorities. The candidate must be able to influence decision-making, build consensus, and foster collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
