Prospective Consultants: The Asia Foundation’s Bangladesh office invites individuals with interest and experience in one or more of following areas to submit CVs and brief letters of introduction for potential consulting assignments:
1. Public administration: Familiarity with the structure and practical operations of Bangladesh government ministries, departments, agencies, and subunits. Relevant knowledge and interests include:
2. Public policy: Familiarity with the process through which public policy is made and implemented in Bangladesh, including the division of responsibility between elected officials, the executive branch, and the broader public administration.
3. Pockets of excellence in government service delivery: Familiarity with the experience of government agencies and officials whose efforts to enhance the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of government services have created “pockets of excellence” within ministries and agencies.
4. Successful partnerships involving government agencies and civil society, the private sector, and/or academia: Familiarity with successful initiatives that involve partnerships and coordination between government agencies and officials and counterparts in civil society, the private sector, or academia.
5. International support for enhanced government service delivery and policy implementation: Knowledge of the role and experience of international agencies in supporting public administrative reform, enhanced public service delivery, and policy reform.
6. Research and analysis on the preceding topics: Experience in conducting research on the above subjects—including political economy analysis: familiarity with adaptive management practices; the gender equality dimensions of public administrative reform efforts; and other areas.
