Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, manage tasks and meet in connection with business operations, including related qualified retirement plan compliance matters
- Must have strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to perform multiple work assignments.
- Must have computer literacy including MS Word, Excel, Outlook function & operation.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
Responsibilities & Context: We are seeking a candidate with solid experience in 401(k) plan administration and a strong passion for building a long-term career in the U.S. retirement industry. Experience in Defined Benefit (DB) and Cash Balance (CB) plan valuation will be considered a significant advantage.
- Plan Administration: Manage day-to-day administration of assigned plans in accordance with plan documents and regulatory requirements. Maintain and update participant records, including eligibility, contributions, loans, and distributions. Process payroll data, deferral uploads, and contribution allocations accurately and on schedule.
- Compliance Support: Assist in annual compliance testing (ADP/ACP, Top-Heavy, 415, 410(b), etc.) and employer contribution calculations. Preparation of Form 5500 and related filings. Ensure plans remain in compliance with ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
- Client Service & Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for plan sponsors, client TPAs and financial advisors. Communicate clearly and professionally regarding compliance issues, deadlines, and data requirements.
- Plan Year-End & Recordkeeping: Gather and validate year-end census and plan data. Prepare annual valuation reports, participant statements, and plan summaries.
- Software Proficiency: Able to perform using Datair and FTWillams. Additional literacy in other software will be highly valued.
