Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to work as Project In-Charge / Project Manager for two residential building construction projects outside Dhaka (Cox’s Bazar). Project duration will be 6 months approximately. The candidate will be responsible for the project from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, safety, cost control, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Oversee and manage the entire construction process from start to finish.

• Prepare bar charts, work schedules, timelines, and execution plans.

• Ensure timely completion of work maintaining quality and workmanship.

• Monitor daily and weekly progress and take corrective measures when required.

Design & Documentation

• Prepare building plans and detailed cost estimations.

• Prepare and review architectural, structural, sanitary, plumbing, and electrical drawings (layouts and sketches).

• Prepare Bill of Quantity (BOQ), technical documents, and maintain project records in an organized manner.

Cost, Time & Quality Control

• Control construction costs and monitor budget utilization.

• Estimate materials, manpower, and construction resources.

• Ensure work is completed as per drawings, specifications, and approved designs.

Site Management & Coordination

• Coordinate with site personnel, workers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.

• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of construction materials.

• Identify and resolve site-related issues in coordination with appropriate authorities.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.

• Maintain site safety, hygiene, and discipline as per company and regulatory guidelines.

Reporting & Monitoring

• Prepare progress reports, project status reports, and revised schedules for management review.

Utilities & Standards

-Ensure incorporation of modern building utilities including:

• Fire hydrant system

• Fire detection & protection system

• Health & hygiene facilities

• Maintain structural integrity following BNBC and relevant international standards.

Innovation & Improvement

• Explore and implement cost-effective construction methods and new technologies.

• Recommend improvements and updates to construction practices when necessary.
