Experience:

At least 5 years in a senior management position in a large industrial organization, power plant, manufacturing company, logistics company, construction company, Cement Factory, or similar organization.
Proven experience in managing 100 or more heavy-duty vehicles operating across Bangladesh.
Experience in computerized fleet management systems.Excellent knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles, automotive systems, and workshop operations.
Strong expertise in fleet maintenance planning and transport logistics.
Sound knowledge of BRTA rules, transport laws, and regulatory compliance.Hands-on experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS), GPS fleet tracking, and computerized maintenance management systems.
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, expenditure control, transport accounting, and cost analysis.
Excellent planning, leadership, negotiation, and team management skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and transport management software.
Excellent communication skills in both Bangla and English.

Job Summary
The incumbent will be responsible for the overall planning, administration, operation, maintenance, and performance of a large fleet of heavy-duty vehicles operating throughout Bangladesh. The position requires a highly competent transport professional with strong technical, operational, financial, and administrative capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Company's transport division and ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective fleet operations.
Plan, control, and supervise the operation of a fleet comprising more than 100 heavy-duty vehicles operating nationwide.
Develop and implement transport policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and fleet management strategies.
Optimize vehicle utilization and route planning to maximize operational efficiency while minimizing operating costs.
Ensure preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of all vehicles and equipment.
Supervise workshop activities, maintenance schedules, breakdown recovery, and spare parts management.
Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle performance, tyre management, lubricants, and other operational costs through effective control systems.
Establish and maintain an effective computerized Transport Management System (TMS) for fleet planning, vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, and reporting.
Prepare annual transport budgets and monitor expenditure, maintenance costs, fuel costs, and overall fleet performance.
Verify transport-related bills, maintain transport accounts, and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all BRTA regulations relating to vehicle registration, route permits, fitness certificates, tax tokens, insurance, driving licences, and other statutory requirements.
Liaise with BRTA, law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, workshops, suppliers, and other government authorities.
Supervise drivers, transport supervisors, mechanics, workshop personnel, and supporting staff.
Conduct driver training programmes on road safety, defensive driving, and operational discipline.
Investigate accidents, vehicle failures, and operational incidents, and recommend preventive measures.
Prepare periodic operational, technical, financial, and management reports for senior management.
Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, environmental, and company standards.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
